10 Helpful Rules for Surviving Winter Fashionably

It’s high time for scarves, beanies, coats, and layers and layers of clothes. The downside to this, though, is that it’s really hard to feel stylish during winter season when you’re all bundled up.
Thankfully, there are lots of different ways to look fashionable despite the sweater weather. Here, I’ve listed several ways to look chic. Check them out:

Rule # 1. Style it up with sweater dresses.
I’m sure you would agree that there are days when all you want to do is to stay in. But there are also times when you just couldn’t take being cooped up inside for days on end.
For times when you need to be ready to head out the door at a moment’s notice, a sweater dress will come in handy. Just slip into it, pull on some tights and boots and toss over your winter coat and you’re good to go.

Rule # 2. Jazz up our outfit with knee-high socks.
Knee-high socks can give your stems the needed extra warmth. Plus, they can go with just about anything. The more colorful the socks are the better.

Rule # 3. Go chic with printed scarves.
It’s amazing how a scarf can do wonders to any of your outfits. I’m sure you already know that, of course.

Rule # 4. Keep your head up and cozy.
Beanies, hats, caps or whatever are not just great for the summer for obvious reasons. They’re great for spicing up an outfit in the winter as well.

Of course, when it comes to beanies, stick to the natural colors like white, black and grey as they’re easier to pair with just about anything.

Rule # 5. Be a sleeping beauty.
I don’t know about you but there’s something about winter that makes slumber parties more interesting. Toasting on warm cups of cocoa, roasting marshmallows, or just huddling up around the fireplace giggling over boys and stuff are just some of the things that I love doing with my girl friends.
Of course, when it’s super cold, it’s always nice to dress something snug and comfortable so you’re ready to hit the sack after you’ve had one too many drinks.

Rule # 6. Get in touch with you edgy side.
Another fashionable material you can wear during winter is leather. It is a durable and flexible material. Not only that, it’s also sleek and smooth. Wearing something leather is a chic way to stay warm all the time.

Rule # 7. Coat yourself with style.
When it comes to staying fashionable, coats are just as important as sweaters, cardigans and the likes. So invest in a good coat or two because I personally don’t see the point of wearing a lovely outfit when it’s covered in an old, frumpy coat.

Rule # 8. Keep your legs warm.
Leggings not only provide extra protection from the cold but they give you enough reason to wear your summer clothes.

Rule # 9. Keep it long all the way.
Longer sleeves mean one less layer to put on.

Rule # 10. Cinch your waist with a belt.
The downside to layering clothes is that they can add an unflattering bulk to your frame. One great way to solve that, though, is to wear a belt.
