Tivoli Gardens located right in the heart of Copenhagen is an unforgettable fairy tale like experience for all ages. The park opened on August 15, 1843 and is the second oldest amusement park in the world. Tivoli has an array of activities from rides, gardens, concert halls, an aquarium, a hotel, many restaurants to choose from and is also one the parks that Walt Disney was inspired by when he created Disneyland.
Just upon arrival Lis and I joined an open air theatre presentation of the Nut Cracker Ballet.
There are a list of events taking place at Tivoli Gardens every day, as they offer a variety of music and performances in venues such as the Concert Hall and the Glass Hall Theatre.
From Rock gods to breathtaking dancers, there is always an attraction for every taste.
We spent many hours at the gardens until the evening hours. It was exciting to see the park at night when the lights came out to introduce us to the amazing illumination show. Brilliantly magical and unforgettable I felt I wanted to stay there forever!
